Day 3:
Day three has now come and gone
and not much changed from day two.
Unfortunately, there still has been no administrative meeting in order
to work out the final details for bed side registration. Along with that my computer access still had
not been set up despite several request to the IT department. So, Tammi had me work on directing people
when they came up to the desk, along with answering the phone and getting the
needed information if she was busy or away from the desk. It was quite funny how many people would come
to our desk looking for an appointment with a doctor. I felt like I was constantly telling people
that they were in the wrong place and that it was the building behind where
they currently were. Others came in
looking for cardiologist appointments or for lab work. This is were it became a little complicated
for me. Tammi has the hospital and
doctors down pat in her head and can easily direct people to were they need to
go; however, I was the complete opposite.
It was quite challenging trying to figure out what doctors were where
when people asked. But I was willing to
work on it.
